THE ANTIOXIDANTS AS INTERESTING
COMPOUNDS FOR SKIN PHOTO-PROTECTION
Exposure of the skin to solar ultraviolet (UV) radiations causes important oxidative damage contributing to inflammation and skin aging.
Human skin has natural antioxidants against ROS but during exposure to sunlight, they are limited.
In addition, the sunscreens skin protection is also limited because of factors like inadequancy of application or removal after sweating.
It would be interesting then to consider the use of nutricosmetics for skin photo-protection to overcome those limitations.
